HES School Council!

There are currently three parent positions open. The school council is comprised of the Principal, a community member, 2-3 teachers and 3 parents. The council discusses educational goals, works on the school improvement plan, reviews the annual school budget and discusses day to day operations at HES. It is an advisory committee to the Principal, who then brings information, plans and policy to the School Committee for approval. I attended the School Council meeting yesterday and was impressed by the amount of information discussed. It is a good place for parents to be involved and give their input. Please consider running for a position. Complete the nomination form and send it into school to the attention of PTO/School Council no later than Wednesday, February 1st. Nominees names will be placed on a ballot, which will go home for voting. We hope to have the new parent members in place for the February meeting. Click HERE for the nomination form.
